The weather didn’t look too bad on Tuesday so I decided to risk visiting Dyrham Park, I try to do shorter visits to places in the colder months as wrapping up in the many layers necessary restricts my movement and sitting in a wheelchair can become very uncomfortable when you are so bundled up.
I have had a busy few weeks, I’m getting a lot better since my hospital stay, I’ve had a few anxiety issues and the start of a panic attack but that’s probably to be expected. My throat still feels very tight at times and there always that fear in the back of my mind that it will Read more about Catch up and Requiem première[…]
Last week I saw a picture on Twitter of St. Edwards Church in Stow-on-the-Wold, it looked like something out of a fairy-tale so I did some research and found out some people think it was the inspiration for Tolkien’s entrance to Moria! The next day I headed for Stow-on-the-Wold and took some pictures of the church, after this it occurred to me that I lived in the middle of Tolkien country and there must be lots of places nearby that inspired Tolkien’s stories. So finding Middle Earth has become my project over the winter, I’ll be travelling around trying to take some fantasy style pictures of Tolkienesque places, maybe I’ll spot some Hobbits on my journey, I just wish I had a grey wizard to guide me.

I have been working with a group Read more about Mental Health Awareness[…]
So another year has passed, not the best year and being 42 I had hoped to find the answer to life, the universe and everything, instead I got locked in our new van for an hour on the way to a rubbish holiday at the beginning of the year and ended it being rushed to Read more about Birthday Blog 2017[…]
So Where Am I Now? I’m back at home and spent all of yesterday playing Wolfenstein: The Old Blood with my cousin on my brand new 55 inch TV, and today I intend to take the dogs on a short walk. Although I can’t manage too long in my wheelchair it’s still a long way from being in a hospital bed, so swollen I could barely move, with four drips attached to canulas in both my ankles!
After the drama of the first few days in hospital things did slowly improve, there was still the constant worry I’d have another angioedema episode, or that they would need to cut the open, but there was light at the end of the tunnel and I was starting to think I would really get home soon.
