As you probably know I am trying to raise money for a new wheelchair, the NHS are still being stubborn so my neighbours have offered to set up a fundraising event, it has got much larger than I expected and they are doing an excellent job. I decided I’d tweet some of my followers from the Echo to get some extra publicity, they were great and offered to interview me the next day, the day after (today) they printed a very nice article (here) and also a nice editors comment.
I have also had the former mayor of Cheltenham, Dave Banyard, turn up after reading the article, he wants to help any way he can, he’s a great guy, I met him back in 1999 when I helped out designing a logo for his millennium charities project. So things are just getting bigger and bigger, it would be great if some of the celebrities I talk to on twitter would come but I know how busy their schedules are.
If you are in the Cheltenham area on Sunday August the 5th between 2:30 and 5:00 pm pop in to the Reddings Community Center, GL51 6RF, children are free, adults £1.
